Malcolm Gates is our Vice President of Finance, with oversight of all financial matters.

Prior to joining Alchemab, Malcolm was most recently Vice President of Finance at Evonetix, a venture capital backed research company in Cambridge. Prior to that Malcolm was Group Finance Director at Cambridge Cognition, an AIM listed public company, for six years. In both of these roles, Malcolm covered a range of finance, operational and commercial responsibilities.

Before these roles, Malcolm had over 15 years working in professional services with PwC. Malcolm worked globally (being based in the UK and Australia) and also across a range of industries. Malcolm worked in both the assurance and consultancy practices, as well as internal roles in Risk and Quality and Learning and Development.

Malcolm is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and has an MA in Geography from the University of Cambridge.
